FOR BRICK-AND-MORTAR STOREFRONTS IN VANCOUVER
Brick and Mortar Marketing, Vancouver
We help Vancouver storefronts get more phone calls, more bookings, and more customers walking through the door. Fourteen years on Howe Street. Zero marketing theatre.

Most marketing agencies don’t understand storefronts.
They’ll sell you “brand awareness.” They’ll show you impression counts. They’ll talk about “engagement.” They’ll send you a monthly report with twelve charts you can’t decode.
None of that fills your dining room on a Tuesday at 7 p.m.
If your business has a physical location — a restaurant, a salon, a clinic, a fitness studio, a retail shop, a café, an auto shop, a professional office — there’s only one outcome that matters: more real customers, walking in or calling, this month, paying for the thing you sell.
That’s what brick-and-mortar marketing is. And almost nobody in Vancouver focuses on it.
Marketing built for storefronts, not for impressions.
Three core services. Every one of them measured in calls, bookings, and walk-ins.
Local SEO + Google Business Profile
You want to be the business that comes up when someone in Yaletown searches “best salon near me,” when someone in Mount Pleasant pulls up Google Maps for “Italian restaurant Vancouver,” when someone in Kitsilano types “physiotherapist downtown.”
That’s the local pack. The top three Google Maps results. Most Vancouver businesses lose this fight because they treat their Google Business Profile like a forgotten side-task. We treat it like the storefront window it is.
What we actually do: GBP optimization (categories, services, photos, posts, Q&A), citation cleanup across 50+ directories, review acquisition systems, schema markup on your website, and ongoing local-pack maintenance. The point is to own the map.
Google Ads + Meta Ads — for foot traffic, not “engagement”
Every dollar you spend on ads should produce a measurable customer action: a phone call, a booking, a click-to-direction on Google Maps, a redeemed coupon, a walk-in.
We build campaigns around real foot-traffic outcomes. Conversion tracking that ties your ad spend back to actual reservations and appointments. Geo-fenced targeting that ignores anyone outside your service radius. Ad copy written for the searcher who is two minutes away from your door, not the one who is “researching.”
If your current Google Ads agency can’t tell you what your cost-per-customer was last month, they’re playing a different game than you are.
Web design + reputation — built to convert, not impress designers
Your website has one job: turn a visitor into a customer through your door. Mobile-first, fast-loading, with the phone number, address, hours, and a clear booking path above the fold. Schema markup that makes Google understand what your business is. Booking-system integration (OpenTable, Square, Vagaro, Mindbody, Jane App, whatever you use). Click-to-call that actually works on every phone.
And the reputation engine that runs behind it — systematic review collection across Google, Yelp, industry-specific platforms, and automated responses. Because 83% of consumers read local reviews before deciding, and businesses in the local pack get 126% more traffic and 93% more calls (BrightLocal Consumer Search Behavior, 2025).
If your customers come to you, this is for you.
We work with:
- Restaurants, cafés, bars, breweries — independent indie spots, multi-location groups, ghost kitchens
- Retail stores — boutiques, gift shops, jewellery, specialty food, bookstores, home goods
- Salons, spas, barber shops, nail studios — esthetics, wax/lash/brow studios
- Clinics & medical offices — dental, chiropractic, physiotherapy, optometry, mental health, RMT, naturopathy
- Fitness studios & gyms — yoga, pilates, F45, CrossFit, climbing, martial arts, dance
- Auto shops & dealerships — repair, detailing, tires, body shops
- Professional services — accountants, lawyers, mortgage brokers, real estate offices, financial advisors
- Home services with showrooms — furniture, kitchen, flooring, blinds, paint
What we don’t work with: pure e-commerce brands, B2B SaaS companies, enterprise consultancies, or anything where the customer never physically shows up. Wrong fit, wrong methodology.
Vancouver is a foot-traffic city with weird marketing problems.
A few things make Vancouver storefronts different from a generic Toronto or US small-business agency playbook:
- Neighbourhood-level search. “Restaurants Yaletown,” “salon Kits,” “physio Mount Pleasant.” Google’s local pack splits results by neighbourhood, not by city. A generic “Vancouver” strategy will get you nowhere if your customers are searching by their specific area.
- Multilingual community. Over half of Metro Vancouver identifies as a visible minority (Stats Canada 2021 Census). Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, Tagalog, Korean — these are real search audiences. Most agencies don’t think about this. We do.
- Density + transit. Customers in Vancouver are more likely to walk past your storefront than drive to it. That changes your photo strategy on GBP, your signage SEO, your evening-hours ad scheduling.
- Weather seasonality. Restaurants, fitness studios, and retail all have completely different demand curves between Vancouver’s wet October–March and dry June–September. We adjust ad budgets and content schedules around the actual climate.
- Tourist + local mix. Downtown, Gastown, and Granville Island storefronts serve both locals and tourists. Each audience needs different messaging and different SEO targets (“best Vancouver brunch” vs “brunch near my hotel downtown”).
No retainer trap. No mystery reports.
Most agencies sell you a $5,000/month retainer with no measurable outcome, then send you a 20-slide PDF every month that doesn’t tell you whether you got more customers.
Here’s how we run an engagement instead:
Step 1 — 15-minute audit call. Free. No pitch deck, no sales theatre. You tell us what your business does, where your customers come from now, and what you wish was working better. We tell you the three biggest things hurting your foot traffic right now. If we’re not the right fit, we say so.
Step 2 — A scoped plan. A single document. Three to five specific actions, each tied to a measurable outcome. Estimated timeline. Estimated cost. You see the whole thing before we start.
Step 3 — The work. Whichever services you signed up for, executed by the specialists on our team. Weekly status updates. Real numbers — calls, bookings, walk-ins — not vanity metrics.
Step 4 — Honest re-evaluation at 90 days. If the campaigns aren’t producing real customers, we tell you. We don’t keep cashing your cheque while pretending something’s working. Most clients we’ve had on monthly retainers for 5, 8, 10+ years — that doesn’t happen if the work isn’t producing.
Questions storefront owners ask before hiring us.
How much does brick-and-mortar marketing cost in Vancouver?
It depends on which services you need and your local market competition, but typical Vancouver SEO + Google Ads engagements run $1,500–$8,000/month based on what other Vancouver agencies publish. Most of our storefront clients sit in the $1,500–$3,500/month range. The 15-minute audit call is free, and we scope a specific budget before any commitment. We don’t publish flat package pricing because every storefront’s situation is different, and we’d rather quote you accurately than upsell you.
How long until I see more customers walking in?
Google Ads can drive measurable foot traffic within 7–10 days of launch. Local SEO and Google Business Profile improvements typically show movement in 30–60 days. New website builds take 4–8 weeks to complete and then start contributing meaningful traffic over the following 60–90 days. We won’t promise overnight miracles, and we won’t keep you on a retainer for 12 months before showing results.
Do you work with my booking system?
Almost certainly yes. We’ve worked with OpenTable, Resy, Tock, SevenRooms, Square Appointments, Vagaro, Mindbody, Glofox, Jane App, Acuity, Setmore, BookKing, Calendly, and most of the major industry-specific platforms. If your booking system has a public API or a click-to-book URL, we can wire conversion tracking to it.
What’s your minimum engagement?
Three months. Not because we want to lock you in, but because anything less than that is too short to know whether the work is actually moving the numbers. After three months, you can pause, scale up, or walk away with no penalty.
Why isn’t my business showing up on Google Maps?
Most common causes for Vancouver storefronts: incomplete Google Business Profile (missing categories, no photos in the last 90 days, no recent posts), NAP inconsistency (your address listed differently across Yelp, Facebook, and your website), too few reviews under 4.0 stars, or a website with no local schema markup. We can usually tell you the exact reason in the first 15 minutes of an audit call.
Can you guarantee a top-3 spot on Google Maps?
No, and any agency that does is lying. Google’s local-pack algorithm has 200+ ranking factors, and the agency that promises a #1 spot is the agency that gets penalized for buying fake reviews six months later. What we can guarantee is that we’ll do the right work, transparently, and you’ll see the leading indicators move in 30–60 days.
What’s the biggest brand you’ve worked with?
Major brands include Mobil 1 Lube Express alongside hundreds of local Vancouver storefronts across 100+ industries. The biggest factor in our work isn’t the brand size — it’s whether they need real customers walking in.
